INDUSTRIAL ZEN MATCHA
ICHIZEN
UJI MATCHA KYOTO JAPAN
Matcha stays the lead, even in milk. Selected by a fourth-generation Kyoto tea merchant for how it tastes, smells, and looks as a latte. 100% matcha, with no sugar, flavoring, or milk powder.
SELECTION
Not every matcha works the same way in milk. Simply adding more powder can bring out bitterness and a chalky texture.
So we turned a tea merchant's way of judging appearance, aroma, liquor color, and taste toward the cup made with milk. The leaves are chosen for how their taste, aroma, and color hold as a latte.

MATCHA LATTE AT HOME
Dissolve the matcha in a little water, then add milk. Three simple steps for a balanced cup.
Use 2.5g matcha with 20–30ml water at 70–80°C.
Use a chasen, matcha shaker, or spoon and mix until smooth.
Add 150–180ml dairy or plant milk.

Selection and refining are handled by Wakimoto Jokoen Co., Ltd., a green-tea wholesaler in Ide, Kyoto, now in its fourth generation. The leaves are chosen so that matcha's taste, aroma, and color still come through as a latte.
Kyoto matcha has an 800-year history. Mature soil and traditional shade cultivation nurture tencha with deep umami.
Wakimoto Jokoen a fourth-generation Kyoto tea merchant selects the leaves for their flavor aroma and color in a latte before applying the finishing process.
Tencha is finely milled into powder for a meltingly smooth mouthfeel.
Store away from heat humidity direct light and strong odors. Reseal after opening and enjoy soon.
WHY WE MAKE THIS
Matcha is not only a bowl whisked at the table. Around the world, the matcha latte, made with dairy or plant-based milk, has become an everyday drink.
In Japan, "matcha" still brings to mind fine tea taken as a single serving, while abroad it is the latte that keeps spreading. The distance between the two is not small. Uji matcha chosen for how it performs in a latte has yet to reach the everyday cup.
Together with a Kyoto tea merchant, ICHIZEN proposes Uji matcha made for the latte. Through a cup whose aroma, color, and umami remain even with milk, we want to give the world's latte scene a reason to choose Uji.
